A well-fitting bra should feel supportive without digging in. Measuring at home takes two minutes with a soft tape measure.
How to measure for a bra
- Band: wearing a non-padded bra, measure snugly around your ribcage directly under your bust. Keep the tape level and parallel to the floor.
- Bust: measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust, again keeping the tape level.
- Compare: the difference between your bust and band measurements guides your cup size. Use the size table on each product, as fit can vary by style.
Signs of a good fit
- The band sits level all the way round and does not ride up at the back.
- The centre front sits flat against your chest.
- Cups hold you smoothly with no gaping or overflow.
- Straps stay in place without carrying most of the support.
Briefs, nightwear and shapewear
